Overview
Our rafting is an amazing adventure. Taking part in this trip you can enjoy the most beautiful possible views and visit the deepest canyon in Europe! The excursion starts from Herceg Novi, but we can organize the transport from all the towns on the Herceg Novi and Budva coasts. The journey continues along the highway through part of the Bay of Kotor to Lipci, towards the continental part of the country through a magical mountain landscape. You will have the opportunity to see a panoramic view of the beautiful Bay of Kotor with the Perast Islands, Salt Lake, and the Piva River Canyon. After 3 and a half hours of driving and more photo breaks on the most beautiful lookouts you can imagine, we arrive at Šćepan Polje in the Camp. There each participant receives the appropriate equipment (neoprene suit, boots, safety jacket, helmet, and paddle). When everyone is ready, we switch to jeeps and continue the 12 km long ride to the place where boats are waiting for us and from where the 18 km long rafting on the river Tara begins and enjoy the beautiful parts of the Canyon. During the rafting, you will have the opportunity to see a beautiful waterfall and cave and on many small beaches and the possibility of a break for swimming. Exciting but safe rafting cannot be described in words but you have to experience it. After rafting, a rich table with National cuisine awaits us.
The Tara River, known as the „Tear of Europe” has 82 km long and 1,300 m deep canyon which makes it the deepest canyon in Europe, and the second in the world, just behind the Great Canyon of the Colorado River in the United States. The Tara River Canyon is protected as part of the Durmitor National Park and it is in the UNESCO World Heritage program. With a score of 3-5 degrees on the rafting scale, it is a real paradise for adventure and nature lovers.
